Overview
We partnered with Montauk Law Group to design and launch a clean, modern WordPress website and a new visual identity for founder and principal attorney, John F. Ward. The site channels the character of Montauk—minimal, coastal, and confident—while staying laser-focused on clarity for prospective clients.
- Platform: WordPress (responsive)
- Palette:
#1A2233(deep navy),#331A22(merlot),#54595F(slate gray),#FFFFFF(white) - Deliverables: Site design & build, logo/brand mark, on-page SEO setup, performance & accessibility polish
Goals
- Present a credible boutique IP practice with an instantly clear value proposition.
- Make it effortless for visitors to understand services and contact the firm.
- Reflect Montauk’s coastal vibe without sacrificing a professional, litigation-ready tone.
What We Built
A focused, single-journey layout. Visitors move from a bold headline and CTA into practice areas, the attorney profile, and easy contact options—no wasted clicks. The primary CTA (“Let’s Chat”) is surfaced high on the page to reduce friction for inquiries.
Clear information architecture. The main menu anchors the essentials—Home, About, Practice Areas, Attorneys, Resources, and Contact—so users always know where they are and where to go next.
Attorney profile with depth (without the clutter). We highlighted John F. Ward’s decades of IP experience, trial and appellate work, and PTAB proceedings in a scannable, long-form profile that supports credibility while staying readable on mobile.
Credible, useful Resources. The Resources section links directly to the USPTO, EPO, and U.S. Copyright Office—practical destinations that reinforce trust and provide immediate next steps for prospective clients.
Friction-free contact. Office hours, phone, and address are presented clearly, with a simple contact form for inquiries. Everything is easy to find and mobile-friendly.
Design Language
We kept the aesthetic simple and refined: deep navy and slate for authority, a merlot accent for warmth, ample white space, and crisp typographic hierarchy. The overall feel nods to Montauk’s coastline—clean, airy, and calmly confident—without relying on heavy thematic imagery.
Performance & Accessibility
- Responsive across modern devices/screen sizes.

SEO & Content Structure
- Clear H1/H2 sections (“Protecting Innovation,” practice areas, attorney profile) to align with how prospects search for IP services.
- Descriptive menu labels and internal anchors to improve UX and crawlability.
- Resource links to authoritative domains that add credibility and utility.
Result
The final site gives Montauk Law Group a professional, mobile-first presence that’s easy to navigate and easy to trust—blending boutique focus with big-firm polish.
